The parade started in 2011 by Miss Jessica and has a new theme every year. This year’s theme is “One Love” (think Bob Marley, mon). The Venice Beach Mardi Gras parade is open to all who want to participate, whether you’re in it or if you want to watch and of course attend the fabulous after party! For more on the history of the Venice Beach Mardi Gras Parade, see our interview with Miss Jessica from last year.

The parade starts at noon at the Venice Boardwalk, aka Ocean Front Walk at Rose, heads south to Windward Circle, does a turn around through Danny’ Venice (for real), stops for a few minutes for photos, fun and maybe a drink, then continues north on the Boardwalk to the Venice Bistro for the after party. 323 Oceanfront Walk, 90291.
