Venice Artblock – Artists Open Studios on Sunday, May 4 from 11-6pm it’s fab and free! Get a route map at 4th & Sunset Ave! After last year’s overwhelming success and community response, Artblock is presenting an expanded Venice Artblock Open Studios including over 60 artists in studios and special exhibits across Venice. The event will be free to the public.
Artblock is an independent artist-run organization offering collectors and art lovers free access toestablished studios and emerging artistʼs spaces rarely open to the public. Culturally diverse, multi disciplinary and inter-generational, the group is endorsed by a wide range of cultural and civic organizations, including The Office of City Councilman Mike Bonin, The Venice Neighborhood Council, The Social and Public Art Resource Center and The Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles. Most importantly they have popular support from the diverse local community of Venice.
Venice Artblock is spread across Venice from Venice Bl to Rose Av and Speedway extending close to Lincoln. See artists ‘ studios such as Helen Garber, Jean Edelstein, Juan Carlos Munoz, Diana Hobson, Amy Kaps, Francisco Letelier and many other talented artists! There will be bus stops at several locations and and parking lots at Westminster School and SPARC.
Venice Artblock will also be open during Venice Art Walk on Sunday, May 18.
