Venice Art Crawl, Third Thursday Each Quarter in Venice
The quarterly Venice Art Crawl is a local artist’s showcase at a variety of popup locations close to the beach on Pacific and Main Street from approximately Venice Bl to Rose Av from 6-10/11pm depending on venue and is a free event. It occurs on a quarterly basis on the third Thursday of the month.This is a selection of the art exhibit venues that My Venice Life recommends you visit.

Curated Highlights from June 19 Venice Art Crawl
Sunny Bak Studio – 2214 Pacific Av 6-10PM
This is a great starting point for the evening; the studio is just south of Venice Bl. Sunny Bak, photographer, opens her studio with several artists: Kathee Christie, Lindsey Nobel and Jaja.
Electric Lodge – 1416 Electric Av 6-10PM
LADY – is created by all women, curated with visual artists, vendors and live performances which fit the current theme, La Sirena Maiden of the Sea. LADY was started in 2013 by Marlena McClain. This event’s theme is a celebration of Summer and all things Aquatic! There will be Mermaids and Mermen, mer-face painting of scales and fishy things, vendor booths, mermaid art and live performances. Located behind Abbot Kinney at Milwood.
Hal’s Bar & Grill – Abbot Kinney Bl 6-10PM
“A Taste for Art”, draws entirely from works loaned by leading Southern California artists and collectors. The collection includes film clips edited for video by Mark X Farina, who heads the video lab at Otis College. From Andy Warhol’s iconic Campbell soup cans, to Stanley Kubrick’s lens, this exhibit will be home to some of today’s cutting-edge, emerging local artists. The exhibition explores universal themes in painting, printmaking, sculpture, art objects and film. This location is a short distance from Electric Lodge.
Alpha Venice – 35 Market St 5-11PM
This new popup venue features contemporary works of art by local artists: Devin True, Carol Dequech, Paul Ulukpo, Olivier Pojzman, Matthew Lewis, Constance Brantley, and Priscilla Witte as well as live music at Alpha Venice, the high tech Nike gym.
Dogtown Artists United – 811 Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach (entrance on Speedway) 7-10:30PM
Finally, the return of Dogtown – this is the one everyone is waiting for to happen again! Featuring music, visual arts, video, performances and interactive multimedia curated by Daniela Ardizzone. Famous Venice Muralist Rip Cronk will exhibit, plus Shana Koening’s solar sculptures and live performance by Amy Kaps to name a few. Free entrance – please RSVP. Dogtown RSVP >
