This Weekend: Go Fly a Kite & Celebrate A BIG Birthday!
It’s a fun weekend of Celebrations, which means fun, free and cool things to do! It’s a Double Whammy with a Kite Festival by the City of Santa Monica with help from Otis College of Art and Design that includes making & flying kites, Marina del Rey Celebrates it’s 50th Birthday!

There is a weekend’s worth of festivities at Burton Chase Park, located by the water and the park that brings groups like Blue Oyster Cult for free concerts in the summer!
Speaking of free concerts, there is one TONIGHT, Friday, April 10, with legendary rock band Three Dog Night at 7pm, followed by a Fireworks Spectacular over the harbor at 8:30!
Join in during the day with tall ships in the harbor,, historic harbor tours, kid-friendly activities, gourmet food trucks, and cake cutting at 5pm. Don’t miss a FREE concert by legendary rock band Three Dog Night on Friday, April 10th followed by a Fireworks Spectacular over the harbor!
On both Saturday and Sunday, there are vendor booths, attractions, tall ship tours, a boat show and more from 11am – 5pm.
This 4th Annual Kite Festival offers the chance to be creative and make your very own kite with help from your friends at Otis College of Art & Design from 10am – 4pm! The event is free and also includes an art workshop!
