Venice Sign Lighting
This is the 4th annual event here featuring the Venice Sign at Windward and Pacific Aves, where the giant switch to change the color of the sign from white to red and green is flipped by a Secret Venice Celebrity and Councilman Mike Bonin. 6:15 – 8:30 pm (approximate end time).

This event in Santa Monica is a fun and festive one that attracts huge crowds and is family friendly. Most of the shops and businesses are open, hosting their own holiday parties and Santa can be seen in at least 3 locations every year, so make sure to bring your list! Plus live music in several locations and strolling carolers on the avenue spread good cheer! 5 – 9 pm
The Main Street Tree Lighting in Santa Monica is a real tradition that brings locals together. Starting at the outdoor spot next to the Victorian, you will find several Christmas Trees, Santa and a few choirs to sing some lovely holiday songs to get you in the spirit. That, in addition to candles (not the wax kind) to light up the night and hot tea and coffee is a nice touch too for our “winter” weather.
Take pictures with Santa at 5:155 followed by the music and tree lighting at 6pm, then an informal procession of people and baby strollers head up to the Edgemar Center for more musical entertainment. Many of the shops on Main Street are open until 9 with their own festive parties happening. So don your Christmas spirit and head out to Main Street in Santa Monica! 5:15 pictures, 6pm tree lighting, 6-9 parties
